When you prepare the eggfood together with the soaked rusk, should be kept in the refrigerator because the dry eggfood now has water in it and if left outside of the refrigerator, it will spoil.
You can accordingly add sprouted seeds to the commercial eggfood instead of rusk or both.

A good practice is, if you have used sprouted seeds to prepare it and you are not satisfied with the moisture content, you can also add a little soaked rusk. This will not only add the desired moisture but will also will help the mixture to be even fluffier.
I advise you to do this process at night so that the next day the dry egg food will have already absorbed the moisture from the rusk and will be fluffier. You will notice that it has become drier than it was the night before and this is normal due to moisture absorption. Simply add a little water and mix to bring the moisture percentage to the desired final texture for you.
Also, there is no need to do this process every day, but for your convenience you can do it every two days, by calculating the quantities you need for two days. Whatever is left over, better not use it for more than 2-3 days.
This process from the previous night has another advantage in addition to the aforementioned. By putting it in the refrigerator, the next morning it will be cold when you serve it to the birds. This helps it to be kept a few hours longer at a better temperature especially in the warmer days, making it more difficult for pathogenic bacteria to grow in our liquid mixture.
